Social Responsibility
As a socially responsible company, VPC is engaged in the life of Perm Krai community.
We help address the region’s most salient social issues by creating jobs, paying taxes, investing in local social infrastructure and improving the lives of our employees and their families.
We co-operate with the region’s industrial complex and organise meetings with local producers.
In 2023, VPC signed a letter of intent with the government of Perm Krai and the municipal administration of Berezniki to build the Yolochka recreation centre for its employees and their families, local residents and visitors, which will accommodate up to 1,000 guests a year.
Another cooperation agreement with the Research and Education Centre for the Rational Use of Subsoil addresses environmental issues. We are aware of our responsibility to protect biodiversity. In 2023, VPC specialists released 17,000 pike fry in the Kama reservoir and 150,000 sterlet fry in the Kuibyshev reservoir to compensate for damage caused by our operations and construction. We also support the Water of Russia campaign: our employees cleaned 2 km of the banks of the Kama and collected 4 m3 of waste.
Our human resource management is designed to ensure that our people feel safe and comfortable in the workplace and to help them realise their potential. All VPC employees have the opportunity for professional development, career growth and remuneration that reflects their expertise and contribution to the Company’s success. The benefit package includes a variety of financial payments, health resort treatment, voluntary health insurance, subsidised meals at the Company’s cafeteria, a corporate mortgage programme, and discounts for membership in local sports and fitness centres.
