VPC to open recreation centre in Perm Krai

Verkhnekamsk Potash Company (VPC, a member of Acron Group) has completed the first stage of construction of its recreation centre, Yolochka. The Company has invested RUB 1.4 billion in the project and plans to complete its second stage in 2026.

The first construction stage included overhauling the existing residential blocks and the clubhouse; constructing a medical centre with an isolation ward; building a water intake unit and engineering networks and facilities; improving sports grounds with volleyball, basketball and mini-football pitches and outdoor gyms; landscaping the site; and installing fences and video surveillance systems. VPC also obtained all required permits and licences.

This summer, Yolochka will operate as a summer camp, accommodating 180 children of VPC’s employees aged 7–15 over four 14-day sessions. The first session is scheduled to start on 29 June 2025. Under the guidance of experienced teachers and counsellors, children will enjoy sports activities, creative workshops, training courses and cultural events. VPC will partially finance the vacation packages, with employees paying around RUB 6,000.

Alexander Pupov, VPC CEO, said, ‘Our company prioritises supporting the families of our employees. The opening of our own recreation centre is part of VPC’s strategic social initiative aimed at improving the quality of life of our employees and creating recreational opportunities for children and families. We see this as an investment in the future of our company and the region where it operates’.

Yolochka is located in the pristine settlement of Pyskor on the banks of the Kama River. In summer, the centre will host the children of VPC’s employees, and throughout the rest of the year, it will welcome the Company’s employees and Perm Krai residents.
