Verkhnekamsk Potash Company Signs Agreements at Perm Engineering and Industrial Forum
During the Perm Engineering and Industrial Forum, Verkhnekamsk Potash Company (VPC, a member of Acron Group) signed an environmental cooperation agreement with the Rational Subsoil Use Research and Education Centre.
Under the agreement, the parties will work together to develop technologies for the treatment of industrial wastewater and highly mineralised brine, take measures to manage production and consumption waste in Perm Krai and other Russian regions, reprocess potassium salts, reduce human impact on the environment, and provide consultation and information support for joint projects.
The Company also a signed a letter of intent with the Berezniki administration to build the Yolochka recreation centre in Pyskor, Perm Krai. The centre, which will open in 2024, will welcome the children of VPC employees from June to September and the Company’s employees, as well as the region’s residents and guests, from September to May each year.
Under another cooperation agreement, signed with the Alexandrovsk Machine Building Plant, VPC will be supplied with equipment for the Talitsky mine. Using the industrial potential of the companies in Perm Krai, the Company has signed contracts worth RUB 16.6 billion in recent years.
VPC, Acron’s subsidiary, is constructing a potash mine in the Talitsky area of the Verkhnekamsk potassium-magnesium salt deposit in Perm Krai. In 2019, the Company signed a cooperation agreement with the Perm Krai government as a basis for information, coordination, and advisory support for its investment project.
