VPC Completes Construction of Concrete Batching Plant

Verkhnekamsk Potash Company, an Acron Group company, completed construction of Liebherr concrete batching plant at the Talitsky mine. The modern plant can produce up to 70,000 m3 of high-quality concrete and store 450 tonnes of end product at a time. Its intelligent automated control system (IACS) for precise materials dosage is the key to a stable quality of concrete mixes. Up to three various additives (chemical, metallised and dry mixes) can be used simultaneously to produce specialised complex concretes, such as steel fibre reinforced concrete or self-compacting concrete.

The plant is equipped with a 1,000-kW steam generator, which covers the production energy needs and ensures autonomous work even in the most severe environmental conditions. The thermal power plant produces a steam-gas mixture at up to 350 ℃ for inert materials heating and 90 ℃ hot water for mixing.

Andrey Ivanov, Head of VPC Concrete Mixing Section, welcomed the inauguration of the operations: ‘The plant can produce 100 cubic metres of concrete per hour, which will accelerate the construction of the mine facilities. Commissioning of this plant is of strategic importance for the Group in implementing the Talitsky project at the Verkhnekamsk potassium and magnesium salt deposit in Perm Krai’.
